Bengali Cultural Society of
Milwaukee (BCSM) is a non-profit cultural and educational organization
representing the Bengali community in the greater Milwaukee area. The association
continues to grow steadily as more Bengalis move to Milwaukee area from India and
other parts of the United States.
The society organizes four regular events during each year: Saraswati Puja, Poila Boishakh (the Bengali New Year) & Rabindra Jayanti, Annual Picnic and Durga Puja. From time to time the society also organizes other special events.
An executive committee
is elected for 2 years by BCSM members. All revenues of the society
are generated from event fees, donations and advertisements placed by members
and businesses in the Durga Puja
brochure and/or other publication. Anyone who is interested in the Bengali culture
and believes in the goals and objectives of the society is welcome to join the
